Gujarat Chief Minister keeps a strict vigil on the delivery of government schemes to the citizens of Gujarat on a real-time basis. As a good governance initiative, the CM Dashboard brings all the stakeholders across the government, and district level upwards on a single platform.  It covers the entire administration with 3,500 indicators under monitoring with 401 nodal and sub-nodal officers. All applications are disposed-off within the time limit under Right to Public Services. In this real-time performance measurement system, the CM can connect with a citizen directly and has interacted with more than 3.2 lakh beneficiaries in less than 17 months.

The Department of Science & Technology has implemented the GSDC-VC application that has led to massive transformation during Covid. It has reduced the need for physical meetings and facilitated the ongoing work seamlessly and hassle-free process of conducting video conferencing without procuring any licenses – it is free to use by all the departments in the Government of Gujarat. Nearly 1,000 VCs were conducted successfully which includes 250+ unique users, 8,000+ members and approximately 30,000+ minutes.

For a state with such a deep focus on technology, it then becomes imperative to have an equal focus on securing the networks against cyber threats. During the pandemic, the Gujarat State Data Centre (GSDC) has implemented a secure VPN solution without any additional cost. It was done to provide facilities for Work from Home (WFH) for all government employees.

The objective of Covid 19 Web & Mobile Application Tracker developed by the Directorate of ICT & e-Governance comprised monitoring, tracking and providing the status of Covid patients at each level in a particular zone, region, district and state at large and also to track the home quarantine movement using GPS to verify adherence to norms. It helped in quick decision-making across all levels and covered all 33 districts.
