If there is one person singularly responsible for making the government procurement system efficient, this is Radha Chauhan, who as the CEO of Government e-Marketplace (GeM) made the entire buy and sell process inclusive, sustainable and transparent.

She has made extraordinary contributions in various sectors including e-Governance, education, health, industrial development and finance. It is under her guidance that Uttar Pradesh presented the first e-Budget and digitalised all processes.

She played a prominent role in designing the National e-Governance Plan. She also helped design Aadhaar and e-District projects. Both these initiatives have become hugely successful. It has laid the foundation for delivering services to citizens on digital mode. In the education sector, she initiated the e-Governance based Mission Mode Project for school education.

As CEO of NeGD, Chauhan spearheaded the initiatives to make governance processes more transparent.
