The Department of MSME & Textiles has automated its systems for auto-renewal of licenses and has also set up a single-window System – Silpasathi – a self-service portal that not only guides but also enables an investor to apply online. It has a GIS system based on land availability of government-owned industrial estate. All approvals are online and time-bound without any delay.
Under its efforts of ease-of-doing-business, it is ensuring end-to-end automation to include Auto-Renewal of Certificate of Enlistment through Online System for all Urban Areas across the state; Auto-Renewal of Trade License for enterprises; and,

Time-Bound Online Issuance of Renewed Trade License for enterprises set up in urban areas without any physical touchpoint between the enterprise and the Urban Local Body. It has removed the need for anyone to visit any office in person. All applications are processed automatically and approval is granted in a non-discretionary manner.
e-Nathikaran, i.e., e-Preparation and e-Submission of Deeds, is a centralised web-based system of registration since 2014. At present, the deed is prepared electronically in a predefined format as well as electronic execution (Aadhaar-based e-Signing) and submission of executed documents for registration. This e-deed facility replaces the manual process of deed preparation.
Online Issuance of Trade licenses in Rural Areas by the Department of MSME & Textiles has reduced the number of documents required from 6 to 2 and has covered 3,354 Gram Panchayats. The fee is calculated by the system without any discretion and has also made the physical inspection redundant.
